Where is your water source?

Beautiful Artesian Water’s source is a rare artesian aquifer in Northern Georgia, located in Dawsonville, Georgia, USA.  Over 500 feet underground our aquifer is protected by a crystalline rock formation.  The aquifer consistently tests free of pollutants and other man-made radioactive isotopes that are commonly found in all surface waters.

The aquifer is considered artesian because the source is protected by a hard rock surface and when tapped by the well is under pressure so the water comes to the surface on its own.   The location of the well is in a remote area of Northern Georgia with a recharge area of state and national parks north of the well into the Appalachian Mountains.

I have little tiny specks floating in my water. What are they?

Occasionally one may notice what look like tiny specks in the water, but please rest assured that this NOT harmful in any way.  Our water is tested hourly, daily, monthly, and annually by multiple testing agencies and our water is clean and safe to drink.   What happens is that our water comes out of the well very cold and when it’s run through our filters it warms up quickly which it can cause the minerals in the water to “flock,” or turn solid.  It’s called “mineral flocking” and it’s not unusual with artesian water.

We are continually working on calibrating the filtration systems in order to eliminate mineral flocking so you shouldn’t see these in the future.

In the meantime, please note that our bottling facility is inspected and approved annually by both the FDA and the Georgia Department of Agriculture.

What is pH all about?

From Webster:

1.    A measure of acidity and alkalinity of a solution that is a number on a scale on which a value of 7 represents neutrality and lower numbers indicate increasing acidity and higher numbers increasing alkalinity and on which each unit of change represents a tenfold change in acidity or alkalinity and that is the negative logarithm of the effective hydrogen-ion concentration or hydrogen-ion activity in gram equivalents per liter of the solution; also:  the condition represented by a pH number

Beautiful Artesian Water has a pH of 7.7. It’s well-balanced and ALKALINE.

Our pH balance starts at the source, which has a natural pH of 7.7.  And our finished product that you drink in Beautiful Artesian Water also has 7.7 pH.  This is one of the reasons why Beautiful Artesian Water tastes so darn GREAT.
